"The Power of One; 6 Images"

These are a series of 6 photos that I got from the internet and then I edited them. These are all themed with black and white because they are based on the movie "The Power of One" which portrays racism in South America during the apartheid. I desaturated all of them and used similar filters. I used the art history brush to sharpen some parts in some images and leave other parts of the image untouched. The movie was a great movie and these pictures somewhat portray how the movie influenced me.

"The Power of One; One Word"

This is a project based on the movie "The Power of One". This movie takes place in South Africa during the apartheid times. There is a lot of racism towards blacks and they are treated unjustly.  So in this project I took the South African flag and desaturated it just a little bit so it was a duller color. I then created a border around the flag. After that I used the text and typed the word Revolution. In the movie you can feel that their is a change or revolution about to happen, that is why I chose this word.

"The Power of One; Poster"

This is a project based on the movie "The Power of One". The movie takes place in Africa so I decided to find an image of your stereotypical african sunset tree. I then found an image of the character Peekay and his mentor from the movie and used the effect overlay on it so it blended in with the sunset. I then added a simple text of the movie title under the tree.

"Color Wheel Stencil"

The idea of this project was that we would take an image and make a stencil out of it. We would then have to fill that stencil with a color or a texture. In the first one I took a picture of a water fountain, i then took pictures of different textures or patterns that I saw. I then filled the stencil of the water fountain with those pictures. I also then put a gradient as the background. I really like how it turned out. The one below it I used pictures of anchors that I found on the internet and created stencils out of them as well. For the background i used a gradient and also a pattern of colored circles giving it a colorful, dreamy, Willy Wonka effect.

"100% Authentic"

This are both projects that are 100% my work. I took all the pictures you see in the projects and I edited them and got these 2. The person I used in both of my projects is my friend Andrew. In the first one, i made it look like there were 7 morphs of him and then i edited them, until there was one remaining and that was the original version. In the 2nd picture i used the same image and put him in a backdrop that I took and showed a metamorphosis of him from a small dude to a big dude.

"The MET"

This is a picture of a Barber Shop. It was done by Kota Ezawa who is a german artist. I really like the colors and the angle of the Barber Shop shown in the picture. He changed the colors to shades of White, Black, and Grey. He also changed the picture to more of a comic or cartoon looking piece. It is really well done and I would like to try something like this in the future.

"Alphabet Typeface"

This is the final of a project we had to do where you find letters in nature or around the school and make an alphabet with them. We took a couple class periods to go around and take pictures and find letters. It was hard because some letters are hard to find with out making them but I think we did a pretty good job with it. It was Olivia, Adam, Brea and I who worked on this project.

"Batesville Day T-Shirt Contest"

This is a design that Olivia and I worked on for the Batesville Day T-Shirt contest. We took a landscape from Batesville, then we put a filter on it that we thought made it look unique. Then we added text with basic information about the event. This would look really good on the back of a t-shirt or on the chest of a t-shirt, on the left side.

"Oval Office Chair"

This is my chair that I posted a couple days ago. My teacher challenged me to put my chair in a background and I chose to put the chair in the oval office. This was fun, it didn't take too long also.

"Comic Strip"

This was a comic strip that we had to make in our class. I was in a group, we had to edit the pictures we took to make it look like a comic scene or a cartoon. This project was pretty fun.

"Chair Project"

In this chair I used more of my own artwork to cover the chair.
In this chair i used some famous artwork by Da Vinci, Andy Warhol, Norman Rockwell and some others,. I like how this one came out better then the first one.

In this Project we had to cover 2 different chairs with pictures using the warp tool. I liked this project a lot because it was challenging but I liked how it came out. What I do first is, I would find an image that I like or that i think would look good on the chair, then I would make it about the size of the surface I want to put in on, then I would use the warp tool. I think this strategy worked well for me and I do like how they came out. My inspiration for the 2nd chair was really just art itself. I like all the works of art I used and I like the artists that made them,

"El Shaarawy (NAPP #2)"

This was my original picture that i used. I used an aging technique that i found from a tutorial on the NAPP website.
This is what it turned out to be. I used a couple different textures and played around with the saturation,  etc. and it turned out looking old and worn out which is what i was going for.

"Soldier Card"

This is a card we made for the US soldiers over in Afghanistan and in the middle east that are not able to be home with their family for christmas. It was an easy project but it was also a good thing to do for them since they are risking their lives for all of us.
